Wondering who is he? Well, read ahead maybe the answer lies.

Finally, he was able to drag himself out of his bedroom and slip down the stairs towards the dining table. The scene was as expected, Father sitting in the main seat elbows on the table and chin resting on his palm waiting to release his anger anytime. His mother was looking at him with an expression of I-warned-you. His little brother merely 4 years old was unaware of the situation and was just rummaging through his plate with a fork. His sister was as usual scrolling through her phone ignoring everything and everyone who was around her.

 He was rather used to it now because why not? It is a usual breakfast to be specific lunchtime in the Linenhood household. 

“Good Morning everyone!” he greeted half-heartedly. “Good afternoon dear son. Hope you had a good morning’s sleep.” His father said sarcastically looking at his wristwatch, annoyance sounding clear in every word. “Whatever it is,” he said putting his head down and proceeding to take a seat in the empty chair beside his sister.

 He was not irritated with his family or anything but just his vacations had made him lazy than ever which triggered his parents the most.

 They all started their breakfast silently exchanging dishes occasionally, only the sound of utensils clinking and slurping was heard until his mother spoke up, “I heard you both will resume your academic year in two weeks” she said looking at Edward and his sister Evelyn, who now had kept down her phone and was focusing on her eating. 

“Ah, that yeah it’s opening I was actually going to ask you to let me out to buy some essentials,” Edward said with a calm voice and turned to look at her sister to see if she had anything in response. She turned to look at her parents and said, “I actually don’t want anything new. I have enough notebooks to be filled, just a few pens and highlighters are needed that’s all. I can buy it on the way to school.”

 “Okay, then Edward when will you like to go for your school essentials?” his father asked looking at him. “Maybe next week. I want to check on my homework and the empty supplies” Edward replied. “Do you want to have me accompany you?” his mother said to which he responded with a smile “No it’s fine mom I can just buy it from a nearby bookshop”

 The further lunch finished with the usual laughs and comical actions of his brother and soon they all parted in their respective rooms.

After having a delicious lunch, Edward came back into his room and decided to take a glance at his holiday homework. He started writing his essay which was about writing everything you know about ‘Human circulatory system’ And what else would anyone expect from a science teacher of a 14-year-old. 

In the evening Edward called his best friend Vernon to talk about the HomeWorks but instead, they ended up talking about different games and their new pranks they decide to play on their schoolmates as soon as they entered their school. While talking they didn’t know how the time flew by and it was already midnight. It was now time to go to sleep. Without trying Edward was asleep as soon as his head touched his soft pillow.

 He slept peacefully in a deep slumber not knowing what the new morning awaits to give him. Soon his lazy mornings or afternoons whatever it is was going to be replaced by something very unexpected but much more interesting.  Well, it will not be less than any thriller movie after all it was the morning of ‘The Extraordinary Edward’.
